Nava's log book

Lieutenant Georges Nava, the prime suspect in the bombing of the Channel 4 TV station in , Tarija had logistical support which allowed him to “organize blockades, provide material support to blockaders in the form of slingshots, road tacks, dynamite, and firecrackers” in Yacuiba, according to Senator Roberto Ruiz, the photographs taken at the scene show that Nava was carrying more than one military firearm, explosives of varying density and size, fuses, wires, firecrackers, road tacks, detonators, and bullets. Also, according to Bolivian newspaper La Razón, in the recovered the log book one of the planned activities reads: “Meeting with the president of MAS.”
Ruiz declared that based on the information gathered “it is highly likely that (Venezuela) paid Nava a per diem and approved the budgets of almost everything.” In photographs of documents made available to Bolivian media, Nava’s files contained a budget reserved for materials and explosives, and another budget reserved for transport to future activities. The documents detailed the quantity and cost of the explosives, road tacks, and dynamite. For each action undertaken by Nava there is a budget declared.

The files taken from Nava’s flash drive also implicate the military in the creation of psychological profiles on at least 10 people, including Assemblyman Román Loayza. Yesterday, General Luis Trigo, Commander of the Armed Forces, did not show for a second consecutive day for required testimony before the Senate Investigative Committee on the events at Yacuiba. Wálter Guiteras said that if he does not show for the third time, an arrest warrent will be issued.
